Hello, my name is Rosalie Evans, and welcome to my blog! I feel like its important for me to introduce myself and tell you a bit about what the hell I'm doing here writing a blog! I'm currently 16 (going on 17! CATCH THE REFERENCE), I'm going to be a Senior in high school next week, and I'm a massive theatre nerd (in case you couldn't tell by the title of the damn blog). Theatre is what keeps me going, it's what keeps my head above the water. A lot is going on in my life right now and I really need a space where I can just document my teenage angst and just rant about nerdy theatre things when I need to. It would be nice if I had a few people reading my blog, but I honestly don't expect anything from it at all! In the end, it's a space for me to just let things out.

I'm super nervous to go back to school next week because I know its going to be a tricky first few months. By that I mean that even though I've been going to the same school with the same kids for 14 years of my life, I'm going to be starting from square one in the friend department. Basically, I became friends with a lot of the kids who just graduated this past spring (because who needs the bitches in my grade amiright) and now they're are all heading off to different universities, while I'm still stuck here with a whole bunch of assholes. The only thing I'm really looking forward to at school this year is the fact that the school play is In The Heights, which is one of my favourite musicals currently! Yay!
But, auditions for In The Heights aren't until November, so knowing that I was going to need some sort of after school outlet that I could focus my spare time on, I decided to work all summer so I could afford to join this professional youth theatre company to be in the show that's closest to my heart, The Sound Of Music. I actually ended up landing the lead role of Maria which I'm super excited about! Another reason why I joined was so that I would have the chance to make some new friends who share a similar interest with me. We've had only two rehearsals as of today and I've already really hit it off with the girl who plays Liesl which is great! Another bonus is the guy who is playing the Captain is super hot, although he's a little sketchy... I'll get into details in a future Sound of Music post!
If you check out the other tabs of this website, I'm hoping to share some theatre reviews with you guys too! I'm a super harsh theatre critique, and I love to give my brutally honest opinions on shows!
Another tab you may notice is the bootleg tab. Although I encourage everyone to try and see live theatre to help keep shows open and money flowing throughout the industry, I understand that it isn't always possible for us theatre lovers to access these shows. As a broke teen myself, I know there are certain shows I will never be able to afford to see in real life, so bootleg is the only option! I'll be sharing a few of my finds on there if you're interested- I don't own any of the videos!
Thanks for reading! I have so much I look forward to sharing with you guys!
