You May Call Me Captain: A Showmance (hopefully!)

Hey everyone,
I'm sorry about the lack of a blog post yesterday- I realized as I was falling asleep at 1AM that I completely forgot to post! I guess I'm still getting used to the blog routine.
Anyway, today I am going to finally write about this guy who plays Captain von Trapp (and who I have a huge crush on) in the production of The Sound of Music I am in!

So, in case you don't know (which you probably do considering how excited I am about it) I'm playing Maria in The Sound of Music. Incase you don't know the show (if you don't: you must watch it immediately! I'll link a good bootleg on my bootleg page!) Maria falls in love with a man (DILF) named Captain von Trapp, and they end up getting married!
Now, LET ME TELL YOU LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, this guy (who's my age!) who is playing the Captain is extremely attractive and since our first read through of the script, I've had this massive crush on him. For privacy's sake, let's just call him James. To give you an image, in my opinion he sort of looks like Joe Sugg (I'll put a photo of Joe Sugg right below this.)

Unlike most theatre kids I've met, James is pretty quiet and mysterious, and because we're always super busy at rehearsal, I haven't really had the chance to talk to him, or get to know him. I've only blocked one scene with him so far, which was the scene where we first meet in the beginning.
This is the first time I've been really interested in someone since I had my heart broken back in early spring, (I've briefly mentioned this before, but it's a story for another day!), and so I'm a little nervous, but I'm hoping something can spark between us! I think it would be super cool to have a showmance- but at the same time I'm a little nervous to try anything in case it doesn't go well. In the last show I was in, the main character and his love interest started dating in real life, before they broke up like a few days before tech week and our actual shows and it was SUPER AWKWARD and hard for the both of them. So, I mean I don't really want that to happen to me, but I don't want that fear to hold me back!
I'm not very good to talking to boys that I like, but I'm planning on asking for his number tomorrow during our next rehearsal, and hopefully we can get together to work on memorizing lines (even though I already have mine memorized oops) outside of rehearsal. But, knowing me, I know I'm going to say something really awkward like: "HEY, WE SHOULD GET TOGETHER WORK ON OUR ON STAGE CHEMISTRY ;)" or something and I'll scare him away!
Another fear of mine is that he already has a girlfriend, which would suck. He's also super close friends with the guy who plays Rolf, so I mean hopefully he's not gay either, although it would make me laugh so hard if the Captain and Rolf were in a relationship- so I guess that's the next best outcome!
We're also going to have to kiss on stage, which I mean I'm obviously okay with, but I don't want him to seem overtly uncomfortable! So hopefully I can get to know him a bit better before then!
In other news, my first day of senior year is tomorrow (cue Beautiful from Heathers) and to be honest, I'm more looking forward to rehearsal after school!
I'll keep you all updated when I get his number!
Good luck if you're off on your first day as well this week!
